i'm sure top cat (or any other cartoon from them that is naked funny animal stuff) is also enjoyed by fans of today, and they dont nnecessarily have to be a kid to like the show. lol

the minions aren't really for kids 
or shouldnt really be a thing at all. the rabbids were somehow better. less creepy looking than minions. 
pokemon is not really for kids as adults or certain fans older than its "audience" has enjoyed it too.
