Nah, that's bullshit talks mostly.
This is country with some "features" and even bigger gap between 1% and 99% in financial point, but if you're not Pakistani - life here is way better than in Russia. More "europinized" in case of relationships between employer and employee, for an example. 

But climat is suck ofc. Here's still 40°.

Don't wanna live here the rest of my life, but few years - why not.

Btw, for now I'm living alone in the flat. In 116m2 flat (2bdr, but the second room is in use for storing beds, matresses and etc, so basically I have ~80m2). Almost a month like my neighbor was terminated.

Country of racism as is. Starts from segregation of salary, even in one company, even in one department.
Pakistani mostly work on constructions and live in accommodation calls "labor camp" (there are lotta around dubai, goggle how it looks).
Indians (btw dominating nationallity in UAE) and Phillipinos live better, but still can have differs with europeans x2 in salary.

And I got new neighbor, so we live 2 guys here for now. Very good egyptian guy (though I had doubts about him before he arrived, cause arabic are specific people with who I can interract, but prefer don't share the roof; got bad experience with Jordan in Qatar)

I edited driver files and turned off checking for signed drivers to make some oncompatible hardware work because they had no windows 7 drivers.
Which is kind of a lie. They intentionally coded win7 out of it since windows 10 and 11 are basically the same operating system as 7.
To make the drivers work; look at picture related. Before and after. Just removing that little extra text made it work 100%.
The only other issue was the usb3 drivers which dont auto install but if you just install random ralink usb3 drivers eventually one recognized my usb3 controller and worked showing they just forced it to not recognize it and removed compatibility.

They put in extra effort to make their software less compatible.

I cannot get DX12 to work, which excludes me from playing new bad games mostly. But vulcan is getting more support which works in my favor, and there are DX12 > vulcan and dx11 transition layers that dont even affect performance and often improve performance and stability. Seems like DX12 was just another way to get people to get off of win7.
On top of that, DX12 actually can work on 7 without issue and we know this because world of warcraft used dx12 on windows 7 by just including a few extra dll files that worked on 7.

The whole thing is so inorganic and weird that it makes me more weary of windows 10/11 than i originally was. At first it was convenience, now its paranoia.

I mean, doing all if the first is not really being lazy.. Sounds like a major pain though. Plus, just randomly installing drivers till one recognizes your hardware, doesn't sound very healthy either.
If you need new hardware eventually, I still think you should try out something like Ubuntu, just booted off a flash drive. Don't need to install it or anything, but just to get a feel of it, and to see if it just werks or not.

And yeah, I know about the translation layer. DXVK was made for Wine after all. Thing is fast and just werks too
