With the general description out of the way, what does IXIT's informal structure look like in practice?

In practice there are two prongs to IXIT: The public square and the private domain. Although we are a decentralized userbase we will have our particular hubs from which we generally operate. Places like this board for example. But IXIT is mirrored across a web ring of different platforms in case one of them gets taken down. There are also back-ups which I haven't listed but which are ready to use. This will generally be imageboards, whether they're on the clearnet or the darknet. But I haven't ruled out other environments like standard discussion forums, decentralized social networks, etc. It depends on whether we can use them without chaffing against their TOS. A public square is needed in order for people to connect and build the second prong of IXIT, the private domain.

This is individual connections that people form offsite via chat, email, invite-only groups, or whichever other types of arrangements they want to set up. They could even hide inside other boards using a plugin like desudesutalk. The private domain is for specific shared interests such as commercial activity. It's also a redundant layer of connections in case of any de-platformings of IXIT so users can find each other again. And it's a landing spot for newbies.

You'll want to at least form an offsite contact with me. My contact info is in the thread.
