Photos from consecration ritual of Russia's new Martian Monastery :^) for the Orthodox church some months ago. I quite like it, from purely aesthetic pov, ignoring how much did it cost, who paid for it, which oligarchs embezzled thanks to it, etc. The preponderance of the military green and similar dark tones give it a very sober and grave mood. The nave is very ample. I imagine soldiers in standing formation. Photos look spectacular, almost cinematographic, but most likely they are "retouched". Cathedral and general architecture thread I guess
