The Q post about it being a sprint and not a marathon got me thinking about the Boston Marathon bombing.  Guess who was in charge of public safety at the Boston Marathon?  Barbara Ferrer, the head of public health for Los Angeles.  She and her people where already there and set up all over when it happened.
