To clarify, I managed to grab the handle of the knife and actually control it, by using all search servitors in combination to test all possible ways. A very persistent energy I was trying to remove from within my head, which has been very difficult to effect, was mitigated. This horribly chaotic weapon did the job on it. 

I cast a spell earlier to get this solved, but I've also asked contracted Goetian demon lords to get help with this. It would make sense they'd find a backwards way to manipulate events like this.
