It just seems as though the people who existed thousands or even hundreds of years ago had a way more vivid Imagination, proven by the religious and philosophical texts we are able to study, the Egyptians for example had a vast array of quite magnificent texts/beliefs. 
Do you guys think there is a chance that the Human brain eventually 'gives up' or 'dies' in regards to it's ability to internally visualise scenarios? out of a lack of a need to? Call it imagination atrophy if you will, I'm curious to hear your thought's.
