GPT-3 is going public soon (or it did not long ago) and someone at 4chan's/vg/aidg/ posts about his project for an alternative but it'll still use the same AI, only maybe not a model trained as heavily on vampire/werewolf fanfics
all in all it's fun but it requires the 'player' to put some effort if he wants to get something nice out of it
