A very common pattern with leftists.
The obvious solution is to have a meritocracy, with a few systems in place to help people who (ACTUALLY) need help, which is what the western world has right now, except for one important issue, which is Corruption.
The problem communists\socialists ACTUALLY dislike is corruption. Their problem isn't with the economic system at all. Though they have zero self awareness of this.
And they will never actually tackle corruption in any way, because 1) they weren't told to, and 2) they don't actually want a solution, they just want an excuse to complain and feel like oppressed victims, and freedom fighter rebels. They don't have an ideology, they're just LARPing.
