> Read Pentti Linkola's "Can Life Prevail?".
Sure. I probably won't enjoy it though since it just looks like your typical environmental fearmongering about the end of the world shit. I suspect people who are obsessed with climate change have a fetish for fear.
> Sounds a lot more realistic than worshipping nonexistent scientists inventing a nonexistent panacea to solve all the world's issues just because you prayed very hard.
There is no alternative. We don't live in a world that is free of competition, which is necessary for degrowth to ever be possible, you can bitch and moan about the end of the world all you want but it won't change the reality you live in. Also how would the average leftist be able to survive without an iPhone, that's ridiculous to even think about.
You also have to acknowledge the point that most excess consumption is not coming from those at the top, but those at the bottom, which you don't criticize. Those at the top exploit the demands of those at the bottom for their self benefit, but can they really be blamed for taking advantage of this?
> explaining your teen-brained ideology to anons while jacking off to communist lolitas.
Come on now, don't judge me for my tastes.
> Everything they do is primarily in their own interest.
This is true, but without a reward there is no incentive for innovation and growth, without growth there is economic stagnation. And yes in a communist system there are still those being rewarded, the central government typically and their corrupt buddies.
The main problem for you and your ilk aren't the rich, it's humanities endless lust and demand, which is not possible to resolve. It will never end, no matter what. No matter what you do or bitch about, even you most likely have your own vices which you "pig out" on, you're corrupt just not smart.
> They're already scarce enough. Agriculture, public health and safety and commercial fishing are already being devastated by ecological collapse and generating enormous economical losses.
Keeping perpetually sick patients in the clinic is more remunerative than eliminating the sickness.
Time to eat ze bugs! I love talking about how the world is ending without knowing what the FUCK to do about it. Maybe if I throw canned soup on a painting it might fix it. Maybe I should try liking a tweet about environmental collapse on my iPhone 3732, that might do it.
> You're completely detached from reality.
Yep I guess nothing will ever change, we're trapped here and we will soon be running around in gas masks cannibalizing each other. I guess you're the enlightened one and I should listen to you.
