She didn't write those pics, and she doesn't think she's disengaging from capitalism by deleting her socials. She wanted to stop feeling like a commodity like the pics describe.

I haven't read the book myself because it's a little confusing but it's called Preliminary Materials for a Theory of the Young Girl by Tiqqun. It's basically a scathing critique of how people (they claim the young girl archetype applies to men too) treat themselves like commodities under capitalism and how everyone falls into this even if they try not to. I think she must have realized how complicit she was in this and finally decided an internet presence wasn't worth it anymore, and how posting selfies fueled us talking about her more.
