she tends to be unnecessarily flowery (pun intended), but I agree that the blog posts are better than her perfume review, at least they have substance and are not as impressionistic. on the other hand, they are rather long, and I don't really feel like reading them in their entirety. they're also a bit too drenched in factual knowledge for my taste. as the other anon said, the facts are also quite disjointed from one another, so the posts look like some long factual stream of consciousness, if that makes any sense.
it's clear that she's curious and likes to learn stuff, but I'd rather a blog post to be more centered around one's personal observations and thoughts, rather than looking like a collage of wikipedia articles.
nevertheless, I get the impression that she slips her feelings between the facts and conceals her experiences as in some sort of allegory. her fist post was clearly about her conflictual attitude towards sexuality, which she can't help but link to guilt. this seems to suggest that redemption and happiness can be achieved by experiencing and enduring pain. again, very religious themes.
I particularly liked the last part about Wilde, and how she connected the whole thing to an apparently trivial, but quite lovely personal anecdote, before ending with a quote that sounds like a recapitulation and a moral.
