I remember reading a thing about pre dynastic (egypt) proto hieroglyphs looked like pic related, which is from Sumer. Implying the old dynasty may have migrated there ( additional tinfoil would suggest from the harrapan indus valley people). Let me know if you find any concrete link between them and the ancient (pre minoan) cretans.
