So. Not bad, actually enjoyable. Geelong seems to have the upper hand, not just by score but for they mostly lead and Brisbane was pressured to run after the points.
Some stuff that bothers me:
- They often don't pass when there is someone in the clear to take it, but they hug the egg selfishly.
- It takes so long while they pass, seemingly they can run with the egg miles before they have to pass it. I understand they have to bounce it to the ground every once in a while, and this makes it so weird. I'm not sure how to put it, maybe I expect them to bounce it or pass it but they keep in their hands longer and run with it - then bounce it or pass it... out of sync to my mind.
- Australians look weird. They don't look particularly Bri'ish but not European for sure, and some of them, usually the lighter ones, has the close sitting eyes, the mark of the Small Island inbreeding.
- They call the egg a "ball".
What I really like:
No Euro football style of pretended injury drama and long pauses, fiddling with the free kick for minutes and such.
