so you got plain copper cables
then there is litz wire
then there is silver coated copper cables 
then there is new thing called monocrytaline copper

dont ask me how or why but i tried all them and they keep sounding better and better as you go down that list. also then you have single ended and balanced cable options. The one that broke was my most expensive cable, should not have ridden with it for months on end it was bound to happen.
