this is one thing i like about having little cards (or textfiles) for each idea because that way, when the distraction comes, it is easy to pick up and continue what i was doing before when the distraction is finally gone.

and besides that, just the creative process is likely to branch of into distraction anyways, so it is not even just the external distraction that is trying to become an obstacle but also the internal distractions.
