Jesus as a Trickster: In many Gnostic interpretations, Christ is viewed as an emissary from the true, unknowable God. By bringing Gnosis (secret, experiential knowledge), Christ bypassed and tricked the Demiurge, exposing the physical world as a temporary matrix or prison.
