Concept: Structured topic rooms with infinite branching. Each topic can have subtopics which again can have subtopics etc...

Thank you for your valuable feedback earlier, much of which has been incorporated into the current iteration:

- Post truly anonymous, no login is required. Posting behind proxies such as tor and even without js is allowed.
- Post text, images, short video and even voice chat.
- No tracking, No data collection and No routing through cloudflare tracking.

Try it out, and let me know what you think. Post away or make a topic of interest. Any feedback is highly appreciated and will likely be implemented.

Zero login, full anon, Tor-ready? That’s good, I like that part of it
No Cloudflare? good.
No tracking? I’ll believe it when I don’t see 10 DNS calls in uBlock.
Sounds like you actually get it.
No rules, no IDs, no leash.
Still gotta see if it holds under schizoposting and /b/-tier spam but concept?
Based. Ruthlessly based.

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

 >>/64995/
avif is supported. Have you experienced any problems?

 >>/65394/
No. Absolutely no cloudflare routing. I use the site myself:p

 >>/66090/
It's a site I always wanted to exist so I and a couple of friends built it. Building and maintaining it is a serious amount of work. Do you want to get involved? You are more than welcome, the more the merrier.

 >>/68273/
When you try downloading an avif image off depvana it gets the jpeg extension instead of the standard (.avif) using ungoogled-chromium (Firefox based Librewolf didn't have this problem). It also shows up as a jpeg in the response headers. These made me think the site didn't support the format at all.

Anyway, if you ever get tired of how Facebook, Reddit and Discord run their platforms, just let us know.

 >>/68836/
Thank you, I see what you mean now. I initially thought people just wanted to upload in any format. Storing all images in a single format does offer significant performance benefits. That said, implementing a 'Download in original format' option is definitely possible. Just help me understand the need. What advantages does AVIF have over JPEG in this context?

 >>/69049/
Awesome thanks. Like all new sites, traffic is still low. But if people enjoy it and enough pioneers are willing to be early adopters, I believe we have a real shot at breaking free from the grip of today's tech monopolies.

As for color themes, there are three options: light, medium, and dark. You can find the theme switcher at the top of the homepage or in the dropdown menu in the header.

> What advantages does AVIF have over JPEG in this context?
I'm not a web developer but with my limited understanding about it can asume lower file sizes translate to a more responsive site and lower bandwidth usage.
AVIF offers higher quality at the same BPP allowing much lower file sizes for the same quality as the corresponding jpeg. Can easily switch and mix colortags to maintain color accuracy, afaik this is not possible with jpeg (which is essential for high quality screenshots of video and photography in general). Also supports transparency and animation.

 >>/69537/
Good point. I'm not an expert on image file formats either, but I can see how color accuracy could be important to people.

Currently, the uploaded image is stored in its original format. However, when downloading, the browser assigns a default .jpeg extension to the file. You can still manually save it with the correct extension to retain an identical version of the original image.

This isn't an ideal solution, but it's a temporary workaround until we implement a better approach. Unfortunately, browser options for controlling file extensions during download are quite limited, but we will find a way, cheers.

> As do all really good threads here.
Bump them 1-2 times a week and they'll stay up. Remake the threads if they die out

> Wish the YT thread was still up, it had some really good channel links but spammers slid it out of existence with their mental retardation.

e-girl simp threads too. They're so many of them here.

Maybe we can find an archive for it? Let's just do the YT thread again then.

Heya Everyone, here's an update:

New features:
-- People asked for the possibility to edit your own posts. This is now possible.
-- Also, new post formatting options that are more intuitive to use are now live. If you have suggestions for additional formatting options let us know. Anything goes.

We will be looking at the color themes soon, so feel free to chime with ideas. Text colors, background colors etc..., you name it.

Cheers,

They've been making so many simping shit threads, it's kinda crazy. It's always the same generic shit too.

Yeah. People are posting illegal content all the time and we do our best to take it down as quickly as possible.

Please report violating content whenever you see it.

I am not even sure why people are doing it. They must know illegal content will be taken down eventually. I guess normal incentive analysis dont't apply to them.

Let's go! awesome to here.

Note everyone. Try out voice chat and encrypted rooms and let me know if you experience any problems.

Voice chat is encrypted peer-to-peer so no shenanigans like on Discord, where they route voice through their servers. Speak freely peer-to-peer.

Encrypted rooms are rooms where everyone can post but only people with the encryption key can decrypt and view content. Encryption is done locally and no content nor key is seen by the server.

Cheers,

Yeah thanks for the hard work dude. It's better than in this board where the BO leaves that shit up and also lets all the AI spam shit stay up forver. You're doing a way better job than /b/'s current jannie.

> I am not even sure why people are doing it.
F E and Ds. Just delete it and forget it dude

 >>/71783/
Thanks appreciate it. Please don't be so hard on endchan though.

It's challenging for websites committed to allowing all content permissible under U.S. law to distinguish between spam or AI-generated material and genuine user-submitted content. Moreover, most small sites can't afford professional moderators and must rely on friends and volunteers, who aren't always at peak performance. Despite its flaws, Endchan remains one of the freest platforms on the web.

 >>/71832/
Endchan is good but as with any other free speech site there is bound to be abuse and spam. Not everyone behaves on the internet, just like in any society we have assholes and criminals too. Imagine how bad life would be if everyone were punished for the actions of a few. That's what would happen if individual sites were collectively punished, we wouldn't even have an internet anymore.
