Anon, I may have read about coffee, impulsively decided to add (not for nothing left unused)
It doesn’t matter how much nitrogen you raise relative to a pound of grain.
Wheat has 13g protein per 100g. 1g of nitrogen is 6.25g of protein. In order to improve the half of a keel of grain by 2 times, you need 10.4 g of nitrogen (equivalent to 65 g of protein) - 22.6 g of urea or 69.8 g of calcium nitrate. Well, it's okay if that's how it feels.
