sirup is about 70-80% sugar. it makes for a good basis for your bidon if you aim for 60g per bottle. but it gets really sweet above 1/6 sirup to water ratio. you can add salt and magnesium for electrolytes yourself and add malotodextryn to add more carbs.
if you are a super cheapskate you use raw sugar, but sirup gives you some aroma and you can use different sirups to have some variation.
