It's less of a production than wine. No decanting, no slurping. Just pop and pour. Give it a sniff or two, give it a few tastes and write what I think. 

To be honest, I use beer a lot to help teach wine tasting to people. Even casual beer drinkers can discuss difference between a lager, IPA, and Guinness.
