It's not about appearance of the cork to see whether it is corked, it's just that the cork is affected by a fungus that produces TCA. It can just happen if wine is bottled under natural cork.

If it were one of my usual wine shops, I would return it (please see the corked bottle of Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia from the second stage of Itzulia Basque Country that I successfully exchanged). I just happened to buy this one at a shop I don't normally use that I was driving by one day. I can't blame the shape, this is a fault from the winery.
