Are there any achievements made by neural networks? For example, some kind of wunderwaaf, made according to designs, some development in science, in medicine or elsewhere? Just for now, it all looks like marketing attention-grabbing -- interestingly, but without a practical application. Well, apart from recognizing faces/car numbers/letters of text, this is ubiquitous and uninteresting.
