Sorry, did not felt it's necessary, although I understand your expectation.
I think because, we weren't really attached to 9chan emotionally, it isn't our work that made birth to it. We took over because we thought that piece of software should stay online, it was unique among the imageboards, but this far we could keep it. We were debating for a while now what should we do with it, but ironing out all the wrinkles would take a devoted team, with time and resources dedicated to the development. Both the software and the communities.
Well that's about it how I see it.
