Besides Hong Kong and Taiwanese separatists. I noticed that a lot of Chinese people on the internet outside of China, and sometimes even within the Chinese internet, expressed strong hatred against their own country and racism towards their own ethnicity (beyond just hating the government or extreme nationalists). There are many websites that hosts these reverse nationalists like pincong.rocks, chonglangtv.org, which they launched the "Great Translation Movement" all over social media to paint Chinese people and culture as evil and subhuman under the guise of "pro democracy". They are so absurdly common that terms like "殖人", “支黑”, “精日”, “电子宠物”, etc... exists to describe them.
On Twitter/X, there are many of these Chinese accounts that think they are Japanese/White/etc..., celebrates WW2 atrocities like the Nanking Massacre, use slurs such as "支那", and wished to genocide all Chinese people despite being Chinese themselves. A lot of them are also somehow more Sinophobic then Anti-China foreign nationalists.
Similarly on reddit, many of the Chinese language subreddits are full of them such as r/KanagawaWave , r/LOOK_CHINA , r/youxi and now banned ones like r/ChonglangTV , r/runtoJapan , r/real_China_irl , r/youmo . The users from these subs also frequently brigade under any postive or non-political posts about China on here and other subs.
Self-hatred and reverse-nationalism exists everywhere but strangely a widespread phenomenon amongst Chinese people compared to others like Americans, Japanese, Koreans, Russians, Iranians, Indians, etc...?
