>>/689/ Soteriology is the study of religious doctrines of salvation. Christians expect to be saved, and they like it because they don't have to do too much work, someone does part or all the work. They become dependent of an external being (Jesus, Mary, Angels, Saints, God,...) and they don't know how to save themselves (like babies that need parents). We try to save ourselves without external help, trying to be independent, free of dependencies, self-sufficient and sovereign beings. Therefore, we can take responsibility for all our actions. We don't take external help without a good reason.
