We watch the official Grand Sumo Tournament every odd months. During the covid years the audience was restricted to half or even third of full house, so there were plenty of empty seats. And a chick appeared on all the tournaments (in Tokyo each day, on other bashos only on weekends), always dressed nicely and sat with a straight back, clapping only very delicately. She made the news in Japan.
Apparently she was a relative of someone in the Japan Sumo Associaton or perhaps an oyakata, not sure now, who could get her tickets.
