Have you tried Opus 4.8 or GPT-5.5-high?  Yesterday I asked Sonnet 4.6 to make a change and it screwed up, so I reverted and asked Opus 4.8, and it succeeded.  I'm not sure it saved me any time vs just going it by hand, though.
