Honestly, their accounts probably hemorrhage money, but there's so much in it, it's not noticeable.  Like that old saying of "if [x ultra wealthy dropped their wallet] in the time it took for them to pick it up they'd have already made more money than what's in it".

Sub-dermal chips have the problem of not staying IN the body.
I think even animal tags have a life limit before the body actually rejects them, and they have to be re-tagged.
