Merry Christmash

The beer from the sixth of December. Another dark brown, very sweet Christmas ale.
A strong Belgian ale of 9%, the special edition Christmas version of Pater Lieven from Brouwerij Van den Bossche.

The beer has a very strong and deep scent of caramel, cinnamon and sugar which immediately fills the air as you pour this black beauty with its dark beige head.

Its flavour is no different from its smell. It's incredibly sweet and has a deep flavour of cinnamon, caramel and some fruit, making it dance all over your tongue.
The beer is definitely very Christmashy, but also far too sweet for my ruined palette.

Regardless, it's still an ale worth giving a try, as it hits the nail on its head on everything Christmas.

Happy beer hunting, and Merry Christmas
