My twink kinda seesaws on his beliefs surrounding reincarnation and religion, but no he's one that can easily ID when something is a cult, and avoid it.  I hope-

I ask because other Chinese I know have run up against what I suspect is a cult, and somehow been absorbed against better judgement.
