The thing sounds like something political.
Btw if covid really runs rampant there they might be better off on the long run than countries who try to choke the thing down. A "neutrally" developed herd immunity is better than vaccinated immunity with constant "reminder" shots.
Here they did not go for it because "we don't have the hospital capacity for a sudden rise of paitents", so they had to "flatten the curve", preventing herd immunity to develop (and the quick culling of the weak). (Remember how they called that Russian man who destroys England an idiot when he said "herd immunity is important" and he had to correct it later stating: "I said: I heard, immunity is important".)

Here, on the Hungary, we're gonna see high amount of covid death, simply because we are among the worst in cardiovascular diseases and cancer. And they die easily from covid. And they ofc get covid. Cancer patients go to hospitals to get their treatment, they get covid in the hospital because Hungarian ones are more insanitary than Indian shitting streets (you break your leg you gonna get covid in the hospital here, and you're gonna be lucky if you only get covid), and then they die because cancer patients does that, and gonna get listed as covid death even if that don't added much in the end (although sure any additional condition can rush dying). Ofc for some the pneumonia following covid infection will be the end, because they are too weak to fight that. Imagine you're getting your chemo, you can barely exist you feel so shitty, then bam, fight for every tiny bit of oxygen. Now, that's a death sentence.
