The secondary sanctions are actually tertiary sanctions on some European countries Germany who purchase Russian gas/oil via India. I see it as another kick into Europe.
If they don't buy it from Russia India they have to from elsewhere. Ofc Trump want to sell them gas and oil. Price and volume can't match it, so Germany will suffer.
And I don't see alternative. Chink solar panels?
In my view Europe is getting properly fucked. Leaders also cornered themselves: solution would be to make a deal with Russia, but they can't, abandoning Ukraine would be a moral and political suicide.

There is a trade balance with each country, some are positive, some balanced, some negative - DPA has a map on his site - even with European countries it's wildly differ.
Btw USD is getting weaker. It was up over 400HUF, and it's down at 340HUF while Euro remained fairly the same in comparison (movement there too, but not that much), so comparatively to the Euro it got weaker. Better for US exports.

I'm really curious about what will happen till September, when the 50 days deadline expires. I can even imagine an Ukrainian collapse is coming so the threat was made with the mind that doesn't have to deliver. I don't believe so it'll happen, but I can imagine.
