I heard that too. It's something to watch.
The big question is weather this is a result of continued attrition breaking a hole in the front that the Russians have exploited, in which case they probably won't go much further. Or weather this was part of a grander plan that was intentionally punching through that sector to reach a greater goal.
It's probably harder to hit and spot infantry with drones. And infantry cost less.

Yes but the Coalition said they will reverse recognition if they get in. Which is interesting in itself. Usually the foreign policy of both sides of Australian politics is reasonably similar and doesn't break in such dramatic ways. Though the Coalition itself is breaking apart anyway.
