Seen a couple of tweets about "leaked Ukrainian documents" that say that over 1,7 million Ukrainian servicemen are dead or missing.
I do think that Ukrainians has it worse than Russians, simply the firepower difference suggests that, but I don't believe this number. Not the Russian numbers floated around either. I think they are highly inflated.
Perhaps if the missing are deserted and fled the country...
In 2025 especially. Not even small but tiny teams (3-8 men) conducting the offensives and even tinier teams (2 guys and such) are huddling in large segments of fortifications. Sure it's a long frontline and people die in depth along it, in drone, artillery, engineer, communications units, etc.
I guess time will tell.
