Bay is more concerned with experimenting a way to make major league sports completely digitized while possibly supporting a marketing platform during the experiment. The best appreciation for mecha came with Platinum's game because functionality, feel, and design was in the package. Bay has simple designs with a lot of useless detail that has no functionality and the show moved on human talent being overblown testosterone cliches. Pacific Rim was no better and could be a Transformers movie that had focus on jar heads and not football niggers.
