Ah yes, buyers remorse.  I've seen that more than once during my decades as a gamer.  But this is where maturity will come into play.  If fred is a mature person, he will look past such a feeling and do what is right for his community and his site.  If if is not mature about this, then we will see quite a bit of damage done before things get better.
