Hiragana was just easier to make up silly stories for to remember what they were
for the Katakana I am having to come up with way more iffy connections to make them stick
Like picrel (re), I had to come up with that it goes down and then (re)turns up compared to hiragana that was just like "what the fuck is that? oh, its (fu)? yeah, what the (fu)ck" (pic 2 and my genuine reaction when I saw it)
