The disease is how it actually spreads, but skyrim introduces the vampire lords in a dlc, and it can be inferred that Molag Bal raped the Volkihar family to death to turn them into pure blooded vampire lords, because he is the king of rape, and Serana says she suffered 'things'. It being Skyrim, it's never explicitly said that they all willingly got raped to death by a daedric prince, but thats what fans assume.

It's just silly to randomly bring that up, I have to remember that a lot of people at BGC are 5-6 years younger than me and still quite immature and also autistic so they don't understand bringing up rape isn't funny in a board game club context.
