to continue my blogpost, I made friends with a japanese exchange student (and in turn, the other japanese people he has met) and he wants us to have a conversation in japanese before he goes back in 6 months so I have a lot of reason to learn it better now. We had a lost-in-translation moment where I wanted basically wanted to say the equivalent of "Im unc" cus I am a bit older than him but ended up saying "I am a dad" and he got really shocked " OO REALLY?? O.O???" which was funny
