Honestly a little bit down today, I had plans to hang out with a friend but as per fucking usual, stuff comes up, and they're gonna be a little late, then 30 minutes late, then 30 minutes later they message me to say they're finally leaving and should be back home in 30 minutes more. Eventually got sick of the excuses, cancelled on them, and started streaming instead. Years of this, of inconsistency. If we say we're gonna hang out at 6pm, you best believe I'm ready by about 4:30, and I'm literally just waiting. Too many days of my life have been dominated by 'plans' with a friend that is consistently very late. Maybe they're just a bad friend. But I've known them for nearly half my life, so it kinda sucks, and I keep just letting them show up late and always say, yeah it's fine. But it's not fine. How many countless hours of my life have I just been waiting for when they deign to show up when we've already said in advance an exact time? The first dozen times are accidents, the next hundred is someone intentionally dr disrespecting my time. Maybe this is a cringe blogpost and I've forever sullied /neko/ because of it. But what do you think, am I in the right to be annoyed?
