Neko’s loss of gains is severe and he might have permanent flappy pecs. We may be able to fix his lack of muscle size, but those abs aren’t gonna regenerate. This can cause neurological deficiencies, problems with image and self-confidence. It can even cause something called skinnyfat syndrome — a disorder that deforms the body, causing it to appear skinny yet simultaneously fat. At this point, there’s a few different ways to treat him. First is to go on ozempic. These medicines are very popular and are well known, and they're called Semaglutides. Glutide referring to the glucagon-like peptide analogs. These medicines are used to treat diabetes, control appetite and slow down digestion. There have also been other ways to treat skinnyfat syndrome, most recently reported in literature in 2020, was really high volumes of fork putdowns, that could only be achieved in a controlled setting inside a hospital. If you'd like to hear more, it's on my Nekoposter podcast, link in the Nekoblogspot bio.
Because Neko was low on potassium, he was given a big ripe banana to munch on. Other sustenances were given to stabilize his appetite, and a cup of tea was given to "insulate" his tiredness, to help stop any more powernaps. He was started on Starting Strength. That is a workout solution which was set for him to be able to work out and build back the muscle that he had previously lost. After monitoring and treatment, a lesson learned working out on an empty stomach is probably never really worth it, and a chance to rebuild his gains after his breakfast, Neko made a full recovery.
