That wasnt one of my movies so I don't count that as being of the saturday movie movie lineage
Through complete technicality, the first movie was in januaryof 2023, somewhere in the latter half, when I streamed Chungking Express (to 1 or maybe 2 viewers)  followed not long after by Whiplash (though you mentioned this)
So it seems as if mid september was the start of the weekly streak
