I would imagine you are referring to the current internet. If so, under their ruin as everything else, not very long. I don't have any use for a fully controlled, regulated into utter shit surveillance devices in which serve no purpose to my interest anymore. Kinda like modern television service which I cut off decades ago, no desire for it. If I choose to watch something I have offline digital backups and DVD box sets of my favorite old time classic shows and movies already. I would imagine something similar happening to the internet as the "cable cutting movement" revolt hitting television networks back in the 2010s. Yah, best have multiple offline backups of all your favorite media because this is so predictable.
