I don't really understand what's happening, here in Europe things look quite differently from america.
Here people are afraid and the mainstream media's narrative is that we should be afraid.
It's true that the government is taking actions to let people start working again (with lots of limitations) despite of the many active cases we still have.

so the Papaya just reinforced my previous bias towards believing the mortality rate was lower than what it's being said. 
I just saw a Bloomberg article talking about the fact that most deaths in Italy had previous pathologies.
I guess you are right about me following the narrative but I feel like even if you want to quarantine in your home you are following the narrative too. There is no way to escape the narrative.

I don't agree on this one at all. I think the end goal of all this was to crash the economy enough to further their control. 
Think about this like a war, in a war those factions involved all lose, but there is one faction that loses more than the other.
In this case the faction that loses aka governments and small companies will need to ask for loans to face the crisis thus creating debt. The big billion dollar investing companies such as Blackrock will
be able to purchase this debt.
This will lower the value of money due to inflation and also increase the taxes (to pay for that debt) so at the end every citizen of the world will be enslaved even more.
Remember that to mantain the ponzi scheme of capitalism the creation of debt needs to accelerate over time.
