That chapter is a great example of how entertainment media is often used as propaganda medium. Not just in Japan obviously. Here it's just all so overdone to become blatant.

It's the same old script of:
> muh europeans backward, superstitious, and stupid
> le jews always poor innocent victims

And if you are perceptive enough, you may also notice other scripts aside the pro-jewish one, there are also feminism, pro-injections, and anti-christianity.
