On Thursday, February 8, the Kan-11 TV channel reported that the response given by Hamas to the mediators to the deal proposal formulated at the Paris summit was not agreed with the leadership of the terrorist group in the Gaza Strip. The report noted that the publication of this information required permission from military censorship.

According to available information, the head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinuar and the head of the Izzaddin al-Qasam brigades (the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization), Muhammad Daif, have not been in touch with members of the group’s political bureau abroad for several weeks.

Israel is only interested in the response of Sinoir and Dafe, because if the deal goes through, only they can order the release of Israeli hostages.

In the evening of February 8, a meeting of a narrow military-political cabinet is held in the Kiriya complex in Tel Aviv, after which the expanded military-political cabinet will gather. On the agenda of the two meetings, according to media reports, is a discussion of the response received from Hamas through intermediaries.
