Hamas expressed outrage that the appointment of the new Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa was carried out by Mahmoud Abbas without consulting its representatives.

The group said in a statement that Fatah had recently participated in talks in Moscow on the need for Palestinian unity.

“One-sided steps, all the more meaningless such as forming a government without national consensus, only deepen divisions. This approach threatens our people and the Palestinian cause, Hamas said.
