The IDF confirmed that the Israeli air force on the night of April 8 eliminated in southern Lebanon the commander of the unit “Raduan” (Hezbollah special forces) Ali Ahmad Hasin (“Abbas Jafar”).

The IDF said Hassin was involved in numerous shellings on Israeli territory and planned and carried out terrorist attacks. He held the rank equivalent to a brigadier general in the army, responsible for planning and executing terrorist attacks from the Ramim range (where he was destroyed).

In addition to Hasin, two of his subordinates were eliminated, the IDF says.

On the night of April 8, Lebanese sources reported: The IDF air force attacked targets in the area of As-Sultaniya, southern Lebanon (15 km from the border of Israel). It was noted that this area was struck for the first time since the beginning of the war. Later it became known that as a result of the IDF strike, three people were killed, including the commander of the Raduan unit (Hezbollah special forces) Ali Ahmad Hasin (Abbas Jafar).
