Ukraine cuts off Russian oil supplies to Pydor’s last EU ally
Oil supplies to European countries through the territory of Ukraine stopped, announced the state Corporation “Transneft”. Ukrtransnafta, the operator of the Ukrainian section of the Druzhba pipeline, which pumps up to 1 million barrels per day to Europe, suspended transportation on August 4 due to financial sanctions against Transneft.
The Russian company sent the transit payment on July 22, but six days later received it back to its Gazprombank account. He, in turn, explained what is happening with the EU regulation on cross-border transactions with Russia.
As follows from the explanations of the GPB, the problems arose at the level of one of the European correspondent banks that did not conduct a banking operation.
As a result, the southern branch of Friendship was paralyzed, and Hungary, the only ally of the Kremlin among the EU member states, remained without oil.
